Dr. Daniel G. Penon was born in Barranauila, Colombia. After immigrating to the United States as a young boy, he spent most of his childhood and early adult life in Houston, Texas. His travels outside of Texas have been for the purpose of furthering his education and career.
He received his medical degree from Autonomous University in Guadalajara, Mexico and completed his Pediatric training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock, Texas. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas while on active duty with the United States Army. After completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Penon was transferred to Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas where he was assigned as Chief of Developmental Pediatrics in their Pediatrics Residency Training Program.
His combined experience in general pediatrics and developmental pediatrics expands a period of thirty five years in a variety of diverse medical settings, including the Army Medical Corps. He has held a numerous medical and administrative leadership positions.
His love and passion for the care of children from birth to adolescent and occasionally beyond is immense. He is a committed family man, married for forty years and blessed with three children. One of those children, the youngest is also a doctor in family practice.
Dr. Penon looks forward to being allowed the privilege and honor the pediatric population in Livingston and the surrounding communities while working at Calvary Medical Clinic Livingston location.
